For every species, every technique or lure category, serious anglers learn to keep similar gear together for easy access. The most popular way to do this has become the inexpensive, plastic utility box. Put all the leaders, weights, hooks, plastics, and all related components in one box so it's all there in one place. This works for pan fishing, texas rigging, flats fishing, drop shotting, catfishing, whatever you can think of. As time goes by though, it's easy to accumulate half a dozen utility boxes or more.

The idea for TackleThong can from the need for a simple, versatile tackle management system that would allow you to mix and match utility boxes in any combination no matter how many you want to take with you. And, to be able to bundle those boxes together in a secure unit without being loose and awkward.

You can put four, five or six "3700 sized" utility boxes in a TackleThong, and adjust it to fit securely. You can see the contents of all the boxes from all sides, so you know which one you want without unzipping a bag, or opening a flap. TackleThong opens and closes quickly, and stores upright or on its side, and allows access to your boxes from 4 sides, not just one.
